National Specialty - Frankenmuth, MI
7/30/15 - 8/7/15 Another beautiful Specialty in a great locale! Lovely weather, lots of friends to see, and we brought home a few ribbons! We had 3 of the 14 month old "Fire" litter puppies there - Smolder, Junie and Cinder. Smolder started the week off right by passing his Junior Water Dog test. On Monday, he was chosen Best Senior in Futurity, Tuesday took 3rd in Sweepstakes and Wednesday another 3rd in the 12-15 month class. Very proud of this boy!
Not to be outdone, sister Junie came home with 2nd Pl ribbons in both Futurity and the 12-15 class. Cinder rounded out this lovely trio's achievements with a 3rd Pl finish in Futurity.
Their mom Maliboo also competed, garnering 2 Q's in agility, and taking home the #1 Working Bitch title for the 2nd time! What a team she and Julie make!
Joey was the #6 PWD in 2014, so was invited to show in the Top Twenty event. What a thrill to see him strut his stuff in the ring with so many elite dogs in the breed.
Joey was also asked to participate as one of the offspring in a Stud Dog trio for his sire Drifter - CH Timber Oak's Drift Diver. With Joey's help, and that of fellow Top Twenty dog Farrah, Drifter was named the #1 Stud Dog at the National! So proud to see these dogs in the ring together, and thrilled for Drifter's recognition. Great week overall!

Nosework
7/19/15 I've gotten a little behind, so let me try to catch up on Marshview news! We now have 2 dogs with the NW1 title - the first title in Nosework, a new AKC sport where your dog has to sniff out different odors hidden in odd places. Since the handler also doesn't know where the items are hidden, it's a real exercise in team work, learning to "read" your dog when they try to tell you they have found something. Congratulations to Trio on earning her title this month, and belated congrats to our 1st NW1 dog, Marko, who earned his in Sept. of last year!
